ASME

ASME: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) develops standards for compressors, cranes and hoists, drawings and terminology, elevators and escalators, fasteners, flow measurement, industrial trucks, manlifts, nuclear, environmental control, piping, pressure vessels, pumps, storage tanks, turbines and much more.

ASME BPVC

ASME BPVC: The ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) is an American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard that regulates the design and construction of boilers and pressure vessels. The document is maintained by volunteers chosen for their technical expertise. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers works as an Accreditation Body and entitles independent third parties such as verification, testing and certification agencies to inspect and ensure compliance to the BPVC. It is the most referenced code of the ASME and widely used worldwide by manufacturers, technicians and inspectors. In 2019 the standard will have a major update.

ASTM

ASTM: ASTM International standards are applied globally to products as varied as petroleum and consumer goods. ASTM standards and supporting materials are critical to the design and manufacture of global products and services. In addition, multiple sets of safety standards determine the processes and tools for maintaining a safe and sustainable environment.

API

API: American Petroleum Institute (API) standards advocate proven, sound engineering and operating practices and safe, interchangeable equipment and materials from drill bits to environmental protection. Included are manuals, standards, specifications, recommended practices, bulletins, guidelines and technical reports.

AWS

AWS: The American Welding Society (AWS) authors over 350 standards for welding practices and procedures for construction and aerospace covering structural steel, sheet steel and aluminum. This includes the D1.1 Structural Welding Code - Steel, one of the most referenced codes in the world. The collection also contains welding inspector certification guidelines.

AIA/NAS

AIA/NAS: Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) represents leading manufacturers and suppliers of civil, military, and business aircraft, helicopters, Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs), space systems, aircraft engines, missiles, materiel, and related components, equipment, services, and information technology. AIA standards collection includes active NAS, NASM, NA and NAM standards developed jointly by commercial and defense aircraft and aerospace manufacturers. Covering airframe structural components, bushings, propellant fuels, fasteners, packing and gaskets, parachutes and other aerial pick-up systems, switches and more; AIA/NAS standards are available in traditional PDF form as well as digital 3D CAD Standards.

ATIS

ATIS: Standards from the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) dictate design, implementation and testing for information and communications technology. From cloud services to cyber security, these standards direct technology development and enable interoperability across the globe for the information, entertainment and communications industries. ATIS is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

BSI

BSI: British Standards Institution (BSI) is the National Standards Body of the UK and develops standards and standardization solutions to meet the needs of business and society. They work with government, businesses and consumers to represent UK interests and facilitate the production of British, European and international standards.

DIN

DIN: DIN, Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (German Institute for Standardization) develops norms and standards for rationalization, quality assurance, environmental protection, safety and communication in industry, technology, science, and government, as well as the public domain. DIN standards provide companies a basis for quality, safety and minimum functionality expectations

DOD: The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) creates and adopts standards for materials, facilities, and engineering practices for the purpose of improving military operational readiness and reducing ownership costs and acquisition cycle time. DOD standards use non-Government standards and commercial technologies, products, and practices that meet DoD performance requirements. The Defense Standardization Program manages this process and provides a uniform series of specifications, standards, and related documents.

IEC

IEC: The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) authors international standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. This standards collection addresses product development, performance, compatibility and related topics in order to ensure product compatibility and environmental safety.

IEEE

IEEE: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) creates international standards for telecommunications, information technology and power generation. With over 1,000 active standards and more under development, the IEEE is the leading standards source for a broad range of emerging technologies. These IEEE standards span industries such as aerospace, electronics, energy and government

IPC

IPC: The Association Connecting Electronics Industries (IPC) publishes standards, specifications and guidelines for the electronics industry. These 300+ documents cover numerous electronics-related topics, including directives for design, printed circuit board manufacturing and electronics assembly that span the entire supply chain. NFPA

NFPA: The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) publishes more than 300 consensus codes and standards intended to minimize the possibility and effects of fire and other risks. These documents including the National Electric Code®, Life Safety Code®, Fire Code and National Fuel Gas Code establish criteria for building, processing, design, service and installation in the United States, as well as many other countries. Guidelines are accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

SAE

SAE: SAE International standards and supporting documents pertain to motorized transportation in the automotive, aerospace, off-highway, government and engineering academic fields.

SAE AMS: SAE AMS - Aerospace Material Specifications This comprehensive database includes thousands of current aerospace material specifications issued by SAE’s aerospace materials committees. New and revised standards are added to the database automatically upon publication, so database subscribers always have access to the most current information.

SAE Japan

SAE Japan: The Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE) publishes more than 300 automotive standards for systems, parts and performance of passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks, tractors, semitrailers, full trailers, and other automobiles in general. They address product quality, safety and liability while increasing production efficiency and compatibility.

ESDU design methods

ESDU design methods: Validated engineering design methods. Drawing upon a legacy of more than 70 years, the Engineering Sciences Data Unit (ESDU) provides reliable validated engineering design data, methods and software to engineers and designers.

National Grid (NG)

National Grid (NG): National Grid provides Electricity Transmission engineering specifications, procedures and policies, available in hard copy or PDF for providing safe and reliable design and construction of electrical installations. As the owner and operator of the high voltage (HV) electricity transmission network in England and Wales, National Grid’s HV electricity transmission network is founded upon a wealth of experience.
